Itzala is the reconfiguration of a neo-Basque family home, conceived to open a new chapter.

The floor plan is carefully restructured to ease movement while preserving the character of each room.
The kitchen is relocated and reoriented toward the terrace and pool, becoming the house’s true hinge — connecting ground floor, upper level, and garden.

The overall sensibility draws from New England — a restrained Hamptons inflection, inward-looking rather than overtly coastal.

A disciplined material palette shapes the atmosphere: pine floors, cherry cabinetry, oak detailing, lacquered plywood, finely slatted timber screens.
Quiet. Almost monastic.

The primary suite continues this tone, with a bathroom deliberately grounded in 1930s references.

Outdoors, terraces and masonry are designed to weather gracefully. Wood, stone, and tinted concrete form a domestic topography in dialogue with the surrounding pines.

Itzala is ultimately about atmosphere — a measured balance between heritage and precision, leaving daily life to carry the story forward.
